Merrick Design and Build is happy to announce its participation in the 2014 Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project, an extraordinary fundraiser designed to help Rebuilding Together Montgomery County continue its much needed work. In keeping with the home theme, Rebuilding Hope is centered on displaying and auctioning up to 10 custom-built, beautiful and elaborate playhouses. Merrick Design and Build is creating a pirate ship playhouse for the fundraiser.
The fundraiser supports the Arc Montgomery County in continuing to provide seamless delivery of child care and early intervention services for children with and without disabilities and special medical needs who are six weeks through 10 years old.
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County is teaming up with exceptional builders to craft unique and exciting playhouses that will delight and inspire children and adults alike. From May 1, these playhouses will be proudly displayed at Wisconsin Place, at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Western Avenue N.W. Visitors can see the craftsmanship first-hand by visiting the plaza during the month of May.
For the past few months, the Merrick team has been excitedly working on the design and build of the pirate ship playhouse at David Merrick’s home in Kensington, MD. “This project has been a wonderful and challenging project for my team,” notes David Merrick. “We’re extremely proud to be a part of this project and support the enduring efforts of Rebuilding Together Montgomery County and Arc Montgomery County.”
