More space was needed in this one story colonial. Working with the existing roof line a dormer was added on the rear elevation to expand the Master Bedroom, an add a new Master bath and Walk In closet.
The existing home had a cramped attic area with an open area that was being used as a Bedroom.
A new bump out dormer adds only 90 square feet of floor space, but at the same time increases headroom in about 30 square feet of space. Effectively doubly the useable space on the second floor.
AFTER: A new cozy bedroom with work area and full bath is added to complete this useful & attractive new space.
